"Optics Valley Made" Smart Meter Chip Breaking Monopoly.

Yesterday, a company in Optics Valley announced that a self-developed chip was successfully tried out and started mass production. At this point, China's smart meter high-end metering chip officially broke the foreign monopoly and filled the domestic gap.
The chip is named "All-temperature automatic compensation ultra-high precision real-time clock chip", which was independently developed by Wuhan Haoyu Microelectronics Co., Ltd. for two years.
Yesterday, an expert panel composed of China Electric Power Research Institute, Provincial Science and Technology Department, Provincial Economic and Information Committee and other units agreed that the chips designed and produced by Haoyu Company can not only automatically compensate for errors, but also package crystals in buttons-sized chips. These two technologies have always been the bottleneck of international watch chip research and development.
Previously, only Japan's Epson Company had mastered the above two technologies, and the global high-end watch metering chip market was also monopolized by it.
Zhan Wei, chairman of Hao Yu, said that while the technology is comparable to that of Japanese Epson, the price of this chip is about 10% cheaper than the latter. At present, the company has applied for 22 patents for this technology and product. It is estimated that the annual sales will reach 30 million pieces and the output value will reach 250 million yuan, which can drive the output value of related industrial chains to nearly 5 billion yuan.
This major breakthrough in domestic high-end chips has also attracted the favor of many enterprises. Yesterday, 11 well-known enterprises in the industry, including CLP Huarui Technology Co., Ltd., Hua Hong NEC and SMIC, signed strategic cooperation agreements with Hao Yu.
